Quote:
"I used to be a grade school teacher.
Last year,
I was in charge of the fifth graders.
Anyway, they fight quite often.
But some of them become spiteful
and then sometimes it leads to bullying.
When those problems arise,
I would tell them,
"Let's think."
"You're in the same class,
so when there's something you don't like or you're not satisfied of, then tell them properly,
and listen to them properly."
"Then let's think thoroughly. Then..."
They'll realize that they're different.
Since we think we're all alike,
we get mad when we get contradicted.
When someone acts different, we think "What the heck?"
That's when fights and bullying begin.
But no two people are alike.
Everyone thinks differently and has different situations.
That's why I wanted them to understand
that they're different from each other.
After that, think of what words to use so that their feelings will reach each other
and so that they can convince each other.
I ask them to think of that.
I think diplomacy is like that, too."

Easily one of the most meaningful words I have ever encountered... Realising that nobody is the same, and trying to achieve a win-win situation at all time. If only this message is spread, then maybe there won't be any wars in this world

long nails are bad... as in BAD bad... reasons:
1. they get caught in the keyboard when you type
2. they reduce your scores to less than half of average when playing mobile phone tetris
3. they scratch everyone who gets into an arm length, mostly innocent who really doesn't deserve to get scratched
4. It's significantly harder to type a sms with long nails
5. they're hard to maintain... like seriously hard to maintain
(Sources: My own experience)
*laugh* I find it funny why we like long nails (me included) when it only brings us discomfort. But I just can't help but to grow it. Maybe when I find another reason to hate it, that's when i'm cutting my long preeeety nails *tears*
